Today Agent Tortoise celebrates her first birthday!

She wants to have a small (virtual) party, and as she is only one year old, we found this fun thing to do together with your slave!

November 2012 UCGP calendar piggy

Hi there,

I would like to share with you this months calendar piggy, agent Curly, aka Fuzzypeg of the piggyfriends. 

He is one of the gorgeous piggies that featured in this year's undercover guinea pigs (UCGP) calendar. With the making and selling of the UCGP calendar 2012, we made a little profit, that was donated to a piggy shelter. We plan on doing this again for the upcoming year, and we need your help with that!
First of all we like to recieve pigtures of you so we can fill up the calendar.

Undercover Guinea Pigs Calendar 2013!

Hi Piggies,

Like last year we want to make an Undercover guinea pigs calendar!!

How does it work?

We have 12 spots, one for every month, to fill the calendar, and we might also want a piggy to go on the front. We would like to receive pigtures of your cavy or cavies, which we can use in the calendar with your permission.

If we recieve too many different entries, we might have to choose. Sorry there are only 12 spots to fill, but we will give priority to piggies that have not appeared in the calendar last year (or actually if one piggy of a slave has been in there already and he/she sends in a pigture of a different piggy he/she owns, and we also received a pigture from a cavy who's slave hasn't had a piggy in the calendar before, the last one will get priority).

We will also ask you to nominate a shelter where we will send the money we make on the calendar. Once all calendars are (almost) sold, we will have a vote for which shelter which should recieve the money.Everyone can send in nominees, this is not restricted to piggies featuring in the calendar!

The shelter that won last year, will be excluded, as we want to give all shelters a chance.

Mieke from the undercover guinea pigs blog will post when you can order the calendar (desk or wall version) from a company and have the company send it to you directly (as it's probably cheaper and faster).

So, send in your entries! It can be one of or all your piggies, and we love big, good resolution pigtures for the calendar, themed pictures eg Christmas, Halloween etc are also good. You can send in pigtures with a little accompanying text about the piggie(s) and their agents names, either to the blog directly (see the contribute tab) or mail it to us and we will post.

Friday Video: Guinygirlz new cage

Hi there,

 Auntie J is away and left us to the hard task of selecting a video.
We have had a new cage, build by our human Daddy E, for a while now. We are pretty sure we shared it already but we cannot find it on this blog...
So hope we are not annoying you with a repeat of this video of us entering the new cage for the first time... it is quite a long video, you don't have to watch it all if you don't want to ;)

 

 Some specifics:
- The cage is about 122cm by 125cm (around 48" by 49") and made out of wood, the kind that consists of layers pressed together with a shiny top and bottom.
- The see-through parts are pieces of plexiglass (hooby glass) from our old cage (see our old cage here)
- Roos has a perfect camouflage color for the sides of the cage (the wood is red brown, like Roos is).
- The back has a small ledge at the top, which can be opened, so our waterbottle and hayrack can be filled more easily. We like this, because it gives some idea of shelter when we get scared.
- The cage is on top of an 'H'-shaped stand which holds our boxes of pellets, hay, bedding.
- We had to get used to the wide open space, but now We looove the new cage!

Another Agent Zeppelin Mystery

Agent Zeppelin has another mystery for you. He made his staff go to the street market to buy vegetables in a brown paper bag (FYI, best toy ever!). After eating the contents he sent us this pigture.

New Agent Tortoise

Hi There,

I am new agent Tortoise!
I got this name because I like to sit under our hammock and push it up. This hammock can be moved around (because it's hanging over the side of our cage by a sturdy wire), and with me under it I look just like a tortoise... at least that is what the slaves say!

Hints for my real name, I live in a small country in Europe, where most of the land is actually below sealevel. Like my 'sisters' (2 out of 3 at least) I have a flower name, mine is in our country's native language.

I am almost 11 months old, and since I was about 9 months I already weighed a 1000grammes (1 kilo), this week the scales showed I already weigh 1050grammes!
So slave is very late sending this is, as I reached agent weight a few months ago...

#Olympigs Fifty Yard Nap - Agent 005

Here is our new Agent 005 napping what we think is the 36th. leg of the Fifty Yard Nap. We hope that somepig more numerate than we are will verify this.

 

Agent 005 came to us along with his friend, May, who missed out on her chance to be an Agent today as she was busy eating when Slave snapped this photo. She is very big and does a lot of that.

 

Agent 005's real name is based on the Latin for the number five, which is why he chose this pseudonym. GPDD readers may remember the two of them being introduced very recently. He loves his large ladyfriend, May, and Slave has not found anything that the two of them do not like to eat. They are both up at the wire every time there is the suggestion of food and we think that Agent 005 has grown a bit since they came home from the shelter.

 

We think that he looks a lot like our Agent Avatar but he has some little white patches.

Fifty Yard Nap: Sherlock

We enjoy the entries for the #Olympigs fifty yard nap so much! Thank you all! One can never have too few pigtures of sleeping pigs (new entries are still welcome)

Did you know that Iron Hamster got the idea for the fifty yard nap from Gandalf? (@im_still_hungry on twitter) He tweeted that he was going to do the fifty yard nap during the #Olympigs, after which the guiny girls asked him to explain himself. Hamster read that and made the beautiful video that was the first yard on this blog

Our Bo happens to have THE biggest crush on Gandalf's roommate; Sherlock (@chewing_my_foot on twitter). So she asked him if he could send her a pigture of him doing the 50 yard nap. This is what he replied:

Fifty Yard Nap: Agent Cowgirl

This is also a new agent. We named her Agent Cowgirl as she has the same first name as a famous female sharpshooter whose surname is a tree.

Agent Cowgirl has been a misfit for a long long time.. We guess she just never realized she wasn't a Agent :) so it's about time! She is sleeping in her hut and wants to join in the dash.

She came to be a misfit on 5-12-08. She is actually born in 06. She is a old sassy gal. She has the crazy hair. She loves her chin scratched. She will lift her head way up so you keep scratch-in her chin! She is a sweet gal that lives with 4 other misfits. She originally came here with her cage mate Abigail (agent Bette Davis) who has passed on to the bridge. She loves her hay and loves to hang out in her hut:) she is not a boss pig at all. She is a sweet gal.

We are Agents Gemini. You will have seen us before when we proposed Palace Piggies Rescue as recipients of the Undercover Piggies Calendar prize but we were not actually Agents back then.

 

We apologise for our unkempt appearance in the pigture but we had been burrowing in the hay prior to our nap. We would have liked a brush first and a more appealing background but nothing stops Slave with her camera....sigh....

 

We are Piggyfriends, who are probably sisters and are never far apart hence we decided to share the Agent name of Gemini. Slave did not have the chance to give us more exotic names as we arrived here already named. Our names both begin with an S and are just ordinary English names both with five letters so we should not be too hard to guess.

Friday Video: Agent Prince #Olympigs

You guessed correctly! Ladies and gentleboars, for your viewing pleasure, Charles is getting ready to nap. Beautiful exercise, Agent Prince, well done!!



Charles became a Misfit on Nov 6, 2010. He is estimated to be born around June of 2009. He came to be a Misfit because his "owner" a young child dropped him, which hurt Charles's back so that is why he wobbles when he walks and because of that they didn't want him anymore! Well, he was actually put up for use for snake food at the misfits local seed and feed. Lucky for him Jean and Andy said 'Heck no, he is not going in any snakes belly!' when they saw him that day. So that is how he came to be a misfit.

The video was taken by Jean, she wanted to show us how Chuck finds that comfy spot before he falls asleep. We also got some extra pigtues of this handsome (agent) Prince doing his magic.

#Olympigs 50 Yard Nap: Prince

New Agent Prince takes the baton for the 22nd leg of the 50 yard nap

Agent Prince is a boy living as part of a mixed herd in Illinois he came to his new home when he was dropped by his previous owner causing him spinal damage he nearly ended up as snake food before his new daddy said hell no he's not needless to say he is now treated like a Prince!!

His real name is also the name of the current heir to the English throne.

#Olympigs Fifty Yard Nap: Curly

Agent Wizard reporting.

Slave picked up me and my friend Agent Curly to have our nails trimmed. I behaved impeccably as usual and then she went to clip Agent Curly's nails. Her son was holding him as, with Curly's fluffy coat, it is hard to see his feet. He promptly leaned back and fell asleep upside down so I am entering him for the next leg of the fifty yard nap. Counting is not my forte but I believe that this is leg 20.

Don't tell Agent Curly that I have sent in this pigture as he might be embarrassed.
