Me has a skin infection in a very delicate place, girls stop reading now.... ok me confesses it is my testicle.
Yesterday Mummy was checking my boy bits as she bought me in from my mowing the lawn duties, when she noticed that one of my testicles appeared bigger than the other and was very scabby, she says she could almost swear they didnt look like that on Saturday.
Anyway this was not bothering me until the humans started to panic, they gave me a butt bath to get the area clean and then Mummy applied some GG Lavendar and Myrhh lotion.
Being a Sunday the vets were not open so Mummy had to wait until this morning before she could rush me there.
The vet told Mummy to stop panicking as the testicle itself wasnt swollen (me is a big boy anyway heehee) it was just the scabs making it look larger.
The vet removed what scabs she could and my skin is pink underneath not filled with pus, so Mummy could relax as it wasnt an abcess.
Me has to have Baytril 0.5ml twice a day for a week and Acidophilus as a probiotic as antibiotics can be bad for delicate piggy tummys.
Mummy also has to remove any loose scabs heeheehee she not looking forward to that.
Me hopes this will clear up in a few days coz as much fun as having a human fondle your testicles can be me is already bored of that game.
Me will keep you updated on my progress

We Have Sun!!!
At long last we have had enough days of sun for the ground to be dry enough for me and Ghost to get outside and mow the lawn.
So today me will mostly be eating grass and sleeping in my tent.

The Hay Review Part 3
My 3rd hay is Burgess Excel Herbage, this is a treat hay and it would be obscene to suggest using this hay as a bedding.
Mummy buys this hay in a 1.5kg bag and it costs her £4.39, well me is worth it.
This hay is a lovely light green in colour and contains dandelion and calendula flowers super yummy.
This hay is medium to long and sharp not soft.
No good for bedding which is just as well as it would never last long enough for me to sleep on.
Me gives this a 10 out 10 rating

British Summer Time Begins
About time is all I can say.
Today Sunday 28th March is the official start of summer time, this means the clocks go forward so the humans have to get up an hour earlier heeheeehee, glad me a guinea pig me gets up when me wants!!
The weather humans say that its going to rain typical!!!
Is it officially summer for any pig else? and do you have to change your clocks?

Trouble Making Texel
Hey Buddy,
Okay, now finally, as promised, some more information about my breed.
Tumtadadum.. I'm a Texel!!! This means I have a very long curly coat. Mom says I'm very high maintanance. Tuh.. well thank you very much.. *looks really proud*.
Did you know I have some sheep and an island named after me? (no not Igors.. texels) The sheep are very curly and heavy muscled (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texel_(sheep) ) just like me! And the island.. aw well.. it was close to Amsterdam (the city) when I hijacked the VOC ship and I needed a place to hideout from the police. I guess the natives were very impressed with my eating skills when I was mowing their lawns, so I think they named the island (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texel) and their sheep after me.
Mom likes to keep my hair short because I'm still trying to grow dreadlocks to impress my Mickey (mom just doesn't understand what cool is.. *sigh*). She doesn't comb my hair because I hate that; but she does pick out poo and hay every week or so and when she finds little knots she justs takes a scissor and cuts them out (doesn't happen too often btw.. but i do try). She repeats that until my hair becomes too long and then she cuts it all off.
The difference between Texels and other curly pigs (Rexes, CH and US teddies) is that my hair keeps on growing. The CH Teddies do have longer hair than the Rexes and US teddies, but it doesn't get any longer than a few cm. There is only one other breed that has long curly hair that keeps on growing and those are Lunkarya's. But their hair is better described as wild; instead of corkscrew curly like mine.
Lots of Wheeks!

A texel is a Rexoid Sheltie, they can come in any colour the breed standard says that the sweep should be longer than the sides and fall over the butt, they should have a central parting and no matting (bad luck Agent I) a crest or rosette = disqualification.
