Silly Book

Mummy has found an old guinea pig care book from the seventies, it is very silly.

Because you are not allowed to copy what is says me is quoting, the book is called Pet Library Enjoy Series Enjoy your Guinea Pig.

My favourite quotes are "Cavies do not climb, jump or gnaw on wood"
"The Cavy is not known for its intelligence but for its affection"

Me nearly wet myself me was laughing so hard.

Me thinks these piggies must have been super heroes at undercover work,  the poor humans never suspected anything...

Any of you guys found silly books?

We don't think the person who wrote that book was known for their intelligence either. You don't become a secret agent without being exceptionally bright. So there.

  2. Sorry that our report on silly books is a little late. Our Slave has a whole shelf full of cavy books and the research took some time. The books vary from a basic care book dating back to 1957 to a hefty veterinary tome with very long words but the one that made us laugh has a whole section on "Training your Guinea Pig".

We thought that this is what we do to Slaves.

Agents Thorntons, Badger, Carrot, Big Red and 101.

  4. This section starts off innocently enough with fun things to do rather like Professor Igor's PLAYS but then it moves on to sneaky stuff like learning which colour bowl contains the food and how to get out of a maze. Then there are designs for an obstacle course. Slave says that this is like an agility course for doggies. Weaving in and out of little poles, going through tubes ( we can do that ) and climbing onto a Seesaw, with instructions on how to make one. Eeek! Then there is jumping over small fences. It says that we can jump over 4 inch planks with no trouble! Who are they kidding?

We are all LAPS pigs for heaven's sake. We think that we should eat this book before Slave gets any ideas.

Agents Thorntons, 101, Carrot, Big Red and Badger.
